The Earth Science Division organized NASA-wide participation at the International Association of Wildland Fire’s 7th International Fire Behavior and Fuels Conference that took place April 15-18 in Boise Idaho, Ireland, and Australia. This conference showcased how different countries can implement newly developed fire management policies and frameworks at national, regional, and local levels to address fire risks and build resilience and brought together policy makers, scientists, fire managers and Indigenous land stewards. The Division hosted a booth featuring its Wildland Fires, FireSense, Disasters, and Technology activities as well as the NASA Wildland Fire Management Initiative. Science and application talks were delivered by NASA staff along with 12 5-minute showcase presentations.
The Applied Earth Observations Innovation Partnership (AEOIP) is pleased to announce its annual AEOIP workshop. The workshop will be held in Ann Arbor, Michigan, on April 23, 24, and 25, 2024. This workshop is supported by the NASA Earth Science Division Earth Action (formerly Applied Sciences) Program and Michigan Tech Research Institute (MTRI) at Michigan Technological University.
