New and currently unmet needs for observations and/or support (sessions 1 & 2)
Chairs: Robert Green, Kathleen Bergen
Discussion Questions:
  • Is the current NASA program overlooking an important observational or support requirement of the Terrestrial Ecology, Biodiversity, and Applied Sciences communities?
  • Do you have any ideas about exciting new measurements, activities, management tools, etc. that do not fit in any other sessions? What are they? [Bring new ideas to this session and get them into the meeting's discussion and record!]
Comments:
--- Please forward any additional comments to the relevant Program Manager at NASA Headquarters. ---
It might be worthwhile to consider a MODIS- or AVIRIS-like instrument in geostationary orbit - perhaps tapping into the "GeoQuickride" program (Robert Caffrey at GSFC is the contact for the geo quickride program - there is little on the web for the program).
