Carbon Monitoring System (CMS) Community Forum AgendaWednesday, October 5, 2011
Hilton Alexandria Mark Center, Alexandria, VA
Meeting Room: Plaza A&B
Public comments and community feedback on the NASA Carbon Monitoring System Scoping Study Workshop Final Report are solicited at a Community Forum on Wednesday afternoon.
This Carbon Monitoring System (CMS) Session will update the scientific and policy/decision-making communities on the status of NASA's CMS Flux and Biomass Pilot Initiatives, as well as results from the CMS Science Definition Team on CMS application requirements development. The largest portion of the session is devoted to break-out sessions on the 1) Science and 2) Policy issues related to Carbon Monitoring. These sessions are part of an on-going effort to leverage NASA science and technology capabilities for scientific discovery and the most beneficial use to policy and decision-makers.
