Abstract:
Polar Geospatial Center support for ABoVE: The purpose of this two-year project is to improve the understanding of carbon cycle and ecosystem processes in northern latitudes especially as it pertains to NASA's new Arctic Boreal Vulnerability Experiment (ABoVE). The specific objective is to combine critical commercial high-resolution imagery at the University of Minnesota with cloud computing capabilities at Goddard Space Flight Center, specifically the ABoVE Science Cloud. New value-added science data sets will be made available to ABoVE PIs and training for the ABoVE support staff in commercial imagery management and processing.
