Air Transportation

Intercity Rail Transportation

Ann Arbor has an AMTRAK railway station located on the main line between Detroit and Chicago.  A train from Chicago takes roughly four hours.  Canadians can take a train to the VIA station in Windsor, Ontario and then take a cab to the Detroit Amtrak station. The cab driver will charge you an additional flat fee of about $36 to go through the tunnel under the river.  If you are on a budget, then another possibility is to take a cab from the Windsor VIA railway station to a bus stop run by the Detroit Windsor Tunnel Bus Corporation.  Once across in the U.S., you can then take another cab to the Detroit Amtrak station.  You will need your passport to cross the border and go through customs.

Intercity Bus Transportation

Ann Arbor is served by Greyhound Bus Lines.
